.aaron jasinski and the 418 faces

Vor einiger Zeit machte einer meiner Lieblingskünstler, Aaron Jasinski, einen Aufruf zu einem Mega-Portrait, das er aus deviantART- Mitgliedern erstellen wollt und bat um Einsendungen. Da ich mir solche Aufrufe nur sehr selten entgehen lassen kann, habe ich mich vor meine Kamera gequält (und jeder, der schonmal eine Kamera auf mich gezeigt hat und beobachten musste, wie ich mich hinter die nächste Deckung geworfen habe, weiß, dass es eine Qual ist für mich) und habe ihm ein Bild von mir geschickt. Kurze Zeit später kam auch schon die Antwort, dass ich dabei bin.

Das war vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr und nun ist das Werk aus 418 Gesichtern endlich fertig.

Wer mich findet kriegt einen virtuellen Keks, auch wenn mir gesagt wurde, dass es sehr einfach ist. Unter anderem, weil ich sehr oft so gucke...

Jedenfalls hat Aaron einen großartigen Job geleistet. Noch einmal vielen Dank für die Ehre dabei sein zu dürfen!

Some time ago, one of my favorite Artists, Aaron Jasinski, made a call for a mega portrait he wanted to do of deviantART members and asked for submissions. Since I can hardly ignore such a call, I forced myself in front ot my camera (and everyone who ever pointed a camera at me and had to witness me throwing myself behind the next cover knows, that I really had to force myself) and send him a picture of me.

This was about a year ago and finally the portrait is done!

If you find me, you can have a virtual cookie, although some said it's fairly easy since I have that look most of the time...

Für alle, die es nicht wissen: Ich habe zwei deviantART Accounts. Einer für meine Fotos, einer für Geschichten und Gedichte. Nicht, dass ich letzteren sonderlich nutzen würde, aber alle paar Monate lade ich tatsächlich auch etwas hoch. So geschehen heute. Viel Spaß.

.artists united for haiti

Heute habe ich auf deviantArt einen Artikel von Sterling E. Stevens, den ich sehr schätze, entdeckt, der vom internationalen Aufruf des LoDi Project an Künstler aller Art berichtet, Kunst zu spenden.

Das Prinzip ist einfach:
Schicke beliebig viele deiner Kunstwerke (auf der Rückseite signiert und mit deinem Wohnort versehen) bis zum 04.02.2010 an The LoDi Project (North Carolina). Dort wird es eine Ausstellung geben, auf der diese Bilder für $25 gekauft werden können. Der Erlös geht an Mercy Corps.
Ihr helft also nicht nur Haiti, sondern seid gleichzeitig Teil einer internationalen Ausstellung und macht einer anderen Person mit euren Bildern eine Freude.

Today I found an interesting article written by Sterling E. Stevens introducing the LoDi Project's call to international artists, to donate art.

The idea is simple:
Send as many of your artworks as you like (your signature and county on the back) until 02/04/2010 to the LoDi Project, North Carolina. There will be an exhibition where these prints will be sold for $25. The raised money goes to Mercy Corps.
You'll not only help Haiti but you'll also be part of an international exhibition and you'll make somebody happy with your pictures.

.short story posting

Erinnert sich noch jemand an meinen Vorsatz jede Woche dieses Jahres eine Kurzgeschichte zu schreiben?

Remember my idea to write a story each week this year? Well, I actually stuck to my idea and to my own surprise even postet the German version of the story on my second deviantArt account which is just for my written stuff. I have a headache right now and need to get up early tomorrow so there is no English version right now but I might change that soon.
