Gerade habe ich "The Big Book Of Who Killed Amanda Palmer" getätigt und grinse noch immer etwas grenzdibil vor mich hin, weil ich wirklich bezweifelt habe noch eines der Bücher zu bekommen...
Es wird nur 10 000 Exemplare geben (zumindest in der ersten Edition, von weiteren weiß ich nichts) und es ist schwer zu sagen, wie viele Amanda Palmer/ Neil Gaiman Fans es gibt.
Aber da NG alleine 250 000 Twitter-Follower hat, lässt sich wohl guten Gewissens sagen, dass es eine Menge sind.
Die Chancen, dass das Buch bald restlos vergriffen sein wird, sind also sehr hoch.

Die Vorbestellung startete heute um 12pm EST (so um bei uns) hier und 2000 waren schon vorher durch Amanda Palmers Alben-Vorbestellung und Co weg.
Ich gucke immer noch alle paar Minuten in mein E-Mail Postfach und kontrolliere, ob die Vorbestellungsbestätigung auch noch wirklich da ist.
Ja, ich bin so ein Freak.

Aber verdammt! Die Photos (von Kyle Cassidy), die ich bis jetzt gesehen habe sind großartig und die Geschichten sind von Neil Gaiman (okay, wer hat hier besessen gesagt?! Ich habs gehört!). Und Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls) ist ein großartiges Model und natürlich eine super Musikerin.

Ich freue mich wirklich sehr auf das Buch und hoffe, dass ich nicht wieder mit dem Zoll darum streiten muss...
Das Buch kostet übrigends $34,99 und Versand nach Deutschland ist bei $19,54.

Wenn man Amanda Palmer oder Neil Gaiman oder gute Photographie mag, dann sollte man sich beeilen, weil das Buch bald weg sein wird.


So, I just placed my order for "The Big Book Of Who Killed Amanda Palmer" and now I am grinning like a maniac because I really, really doubted I would be able to get one...
There will be only 10 000 copies of that book (at least of the first edition, I don't know if others will follow) and it is hard to say how many Amanda Palmer and/or Neil Gaiman Fans are out there.
But since NG has about 250 000 Twitter followers alone, you can only guess how many fans are out there. Let just say: A lot.
So the chance that this book will be gone soon is huge.

Thre pre-order started today at 12pm EST here and 2000 were already gone before because of Amanda Palmer album pre-orders and such.
I still can't believe it and keep checking my mail every now and then to read the order confirmation.
Yes, I am a freak like that.

But hell! The photos I saw (taken by Kyle Cassidy) were amazing and it contains stories by Neil Gaiman (okay, who said obsessed?! I heard you!).

I am so looking forward to holding it in my hands. As far as I know it is still possible to get a book of your own.

Hopefully I'll not have yet another fight with the customs office about that shipment from oversea...

If you like Amanda Palmer or Neil Gaiman or good photography you should hurry because this book will soon be gone.
